These terms govern your use of mymypc.com. By browsing the site you accept them. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean the operator of mymypc.com, and “you” means anyone using it.
1. What this site is
mymypc.com publishes written research about PC hardware and computer peripherals. We are not a shop. We hold no stock, take no orders or payments, and ship nothing. We cannot cancel or modify an order, process a return or refund, chase a delivery, or handle a warranty or RMA claim for anything you bought elsewhere. Where you bought it, that retailer and the manufacturer are the only parties who can help.
2. Permitted use
You may read, print and share our pages for your own non commercial use. You may not scrape or bulk download the site, republish our written content elsewhere, use it to train a machine learning model, attempt unauthorized access to the site or its server, upload malicious code, or interfere with availability for other people. Automated access that loads the server unreasonably may be blocked without notice.
3. Information only, not professional advice
Everything here is general information for comparing products. It is not professional, technical, engineering, electrical, safety, financial or legal advice, and no advisory relationship is created by using the site. Decisions about what to buy, install or modify are yours. Where the stakes are high, such as a business purchase or equipment you depend on for work, consult the manufacturer or a qualified professional first.
4. How our content is produced, and the limits of it
Our write-ups are desk research built from manufacturer specifications, the data attached to retail listings, and patterns in public buyer feedback. We do not physically test, benchmark, build with or own the hardware we describe, and we publish no benchmark figures of our own. Any measurement you read here originated with the manufacturer or the listing. The about page describes the method and its limits.
5. Accuracy, and why specifications drift
We try to be accurate and we correct errors when they are pointed out, but we do not warrant that anything here is complete, current or free from mistakes. Specifications, model numbers, bundled accessories, regional variants, firmware and availability all change without notice, and a manufacturer can revise a product while keeping the same name. Much of our product data originates from Amazon listings, and that data is frequently inconsistent: attributes copied in from an unrelated item, weights given two different ways, a color in the title that does not match the images, or warranty wording attached where it does not belong. Where we notice a contradiction we say so on the page. Treat the manufacturer’s own product page as the authority, and confirm the exact specification on the retailer’s listing before you buy.
6. Compatibility is your responsibility
PC components have hard compatibility constraints, and getting one wrong means the part simply will not work. CPU socket, chipset, BIOS or UEFI revision, memory generation and supported speeds, power supply headroom and connectors, storage interface, expansion slot availability and physical clearance inside the case all have to line up at once. A board that lists support for a processor may still need a firmware update, applied with a different processor already installed, before that support exists on your unit.
We publish manufacturer specifications only. We cannot and do not confirm that any part described here will work in any particular build, with any particular combination of other parts, or with any particular operating system. Before you buy, check the manufacturer’s own compatibility list, support list or QVL for the exact model and revision you are ordering. If you are unsure, ask the manufacturer or the retailer, not us.
7. No technical support
We do not provide technical support. We do not diagnose faults, troubleshoot builds that will not boot, interpret error codes, recommend firmware or driver versions, assist with returns or RMA submissions, or act for you in a dispute with a manufacturer or retailer.
Installing computer hardware carries real risk to the hardware. Static discharge can destroy a component silently, with no visible damage and no immediate symptom. Incorrect installation can damage a CPU socket, bend pins, crack a die, or kill a board and everything attached to it. Working inside a machine still connected to power is dangerous to you as well as to the equipment. We accept no responsibility for damage, data loss, injury or voided warranties arising from work you carry out, whether or not you read something here first. Follow the manufacturer’s installation instructions, and if you are not confident, pay somebody who does this for a living.

The site and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, data, hardware or opportunity, arising from your use of this site or from a purchase decision you make after reading it. That includes a product being incompatible with your system, differing from its published specification, arriving damaged, failing in service, or being unavailable. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and some jurisdictions disallow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
12. Intellectual property
The written content, page structure and layout of this site belong to us. Product names, brand names, logos, images and published specifications belong to their respective owners and appear here to identify the products under discussion. Our copyright page explains how to send a takedown notice.
13. Anything you send us
If you send us a correction, a suggestion or feedback, you grant us permission to use it to improve the site without payment or attribution, and you confirm it is yours to send. Do not send confidential information or trade secrets. How we handle a message is described in our privacy policy.
14. Availability and changes to the site
We may add, edit, move or remove any page at any time, and the site may be unavailable during maintenance or for reasons outside our control.
15. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms. The current version is always the one on this page, and the date at the top shows when it last changed. Continuing to use the site means you accept the revision.
16. General
If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply, and our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These terms are governed by the laws applicable where the site is operated, together with any consumer protection law that applies to you and cannot be contracted out of. Nothing here limits your statutory consumer rights.
