Our content
The written content on mymypc.com, including the product write-ups, the articles, the category introductions, the page structure and the layout, is our original work and is protected by copyright. It took real time to write and we would rather it stayed here.
What you may do
You may read, print and save pages for your own use. You may quote a short passage, a sentence or two, in a forum post, an article or a video, provided you credit mymypc.com and link to the page you took it from. You may link to any page here freely, and you do not need to ask.
What you may not do
Without written permission, you may not republish our pages in whole or in substantial part, rewrite or paraphrase them to disguise their origin, translate them into another language for publication, sell or license them, present them as your own work, scrape or bulk download the site, or use its content as training data for a machine learning model. Copying our page structure and swapping the product names is still copying.
Product images, specifications and brand names
We do not claim ownership of anything belonging to a manufacturer or retailer. Product photographs, product names, model numbers, brand names, logos and published technical specifications remain the property of their respective owners, including the manufacturers and Amazon. They appear on this site for one reason only: to identify the specific product a page is discussing, so that a reader knows which item is meant. That is editorial identification, not endorsement, and nothing here should be read as implying that a brand sponsors, approves of or is affiliated with this site.
All trademarks and registered trademarks named on this site belong to their owners. Where a manufacturer would prefer a different image or a corrected specification used on a page, email us and we will change it.
If you believe we have infringed your copyright
Tell us and we will deal with it. We would rather remove something quickly than argue about it. Please note that we have not registered a designated agent with the U.S. Copyright Office, so notices should be sent directly to the address below and we will act on them ourselves.
Send a notice to [email protected] with the subject line “Copyright notice”, and include:
- Identification of the work you say has been infringed, with a link to the original if there is one online.
- The exact URL or URLs on mymypc.com where the material appears, and enough description that we can find the specific text or image.
- Your name, address and email address so we can reply.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
We review notices as we receive them and remove or amend material that appears to infringe. Filing a notice that misrepresents material as infringing can carry legal consequences for the sender, so please check before you send. If material of yours was removed and you believe that was a mistake, write to the same address with a counter notice explaining why, and we will consider it.
If somebody has copied us
If you come across our text published somewhere else under another name, we would be glad to know. Send the URL to [email protected].
Permission requests
To reuse more than a short quotation, email us and describe what you want to use, where it will appear and how it will be credited. Reasonable requests are usually granted. Related terms are set out in our terms and conditions.
